Our Projects
Employee and Corporate Engagement
PayU employees teamed up with Vriksh Foundation, for a tree plantation drive at Bani Mandir Gaushala, Gurugram.
Community engagement is the backbone of bringing meaningful, positive change. We were thrilled to have the team from PayU step-up and take the initiative to plant a variety of trees to reforest the Aravali Hills in Gurugram.
Reforesting Goa
With rapid urbanization Goa faces the specter of denuded landscapes. Hills & plateaus which naturally stayed green & rejuvenated themselves every monsoon, now struggle to recover from the hard blows of rapid, large-scale construction.
Jointly with Goa University, Vriksh Foundation identified areas on campus where reforestation activity could be carried out.
Building an Urban Forest
For restoring ecological balance, we need to grow back the green
cover that we have depleted from Earth so rapidly. This projects shows how to create urban forests in the form of dense plantations using techniques from the Miyawaki method. They can be created in any setting, but are especially useful for urban settings where the depletion of green cover has been exceptionally severe
Community Tree Plantation Project - Gurugram
We are an environmental NGO that does tree plantation work and all other things sustainability-related across India, including Delhi, Gurugram (Gurgaon), and Noida. This particular project was done as a community effort, with the residents of the neighboring areas getting engaged and involved. It also served as a platform for educating young children on the benefits of bringing back the green cover.
Building an Elevated Composting Unit
As humans, we are smothering the planet under piles and piles of waste. We lack basic sense on how to gracefully dispose of by-products of our consumption and over-consumption. Here’s how you can build an efficient composting unit to recycle organic waste.
